Intelligent dosing technology and system management by SAR
A successful collaboration between ADT and IT Services.
With the aim of making production processes even more efficient and future-proof, the two SAR divisions ADT (Application and Dosing Technology) and IT Services have pooled their expertise.
The result of this cross-divisional collaboration is a modern software solution for the control, visualization and maintenance of industrial dosing systems – presented in the new whitepaper “Intelligent dosing technology and system management by SAR”.
Technical know-how meets digital expertise
The technical basis for the project was developed by the ADT department, which has extensive experience in application and dosing technology. From the design to the implementation of the control technology, they were responsible for central elements of the system. Building on this, IT Services contributed its strengths in the areas of visualization, data management and system integration. Together, they created a powerful and scalable solution that not only controls processes efficiently, but can also be seamlessly integrated into existing IT structures.
This combination of automation and IT has already passed the practical test: The platform is being used successfully at BMW in the area of PVC sealing and in automated tire spraying systems at AUT.SOL (SAR specialist department), among others.
Intuitive operation and intelligent maintenance
Particular attention was paid to user-friendliness and maintenance. A clearly structured user interface (HMI), a flexible test bench module and a newly developed maintenance system with data-based analysis form the backbone for high system availability. The early detection of potential faults – based on real process data – allows maintenance requirements to be predicted in a targeted manner and production downtimes to be avoided.
The functions range from automated component tests to the dynamic visualization of maintenance plans and key figures. This not only simplifies operation, but also significantly increases operational reliability.
