SAR Group Brings Together the Medical Technology and Automation Working Groups of the Franconian Plastics Network

Networking, pooling expertise, and creating synergies: With a joint kick-off workshop, the SAR Group brought together the two KNF working groups on medical technology and automation. The goal is to make the requirements and potential of medical technology more transparent and to jointly develop innovative automation concepts.

Representatives from manufacturing companies, machine and robot manufacturers, and other KNF technology partners contributed their expertise to the effort. Together, they aim to develop new approaches for the efficient and sustainable production of medical technology products.

As part of the project, a specific component will be used to investigate how automation-friendly product design, validated processes, and efficient automation concepts can be optimally combined.

The SAR Group is contributing its many years of experience in the areas of process validation, automation-optimized product design, and automation solutions. In particular, ima-tec —a company belonging to the SAR Group—possesses extensive expertise in the construction of custom machinery for the medical technology sector and is supporting the project with its many years of industry experience.

By fall, the partners will have jointly developed concrete solutions designed to secure a technological edge for the participating companies in an important future market.
