Modernization of the complete process control technology

SAR Process and Environmental Technology is modernising the complete process control technology of the Baar-Ebenhausen hazardous waste incineration plant for GSB Sonderabfall-Entsorgung Bayern GmbH". The individual plant components are migrated step by step during planned inspection shutdowns.

The complete conversion will be completed in 2020. By then, a total of approx. 22,000 hardware IO signals will have been converted.

Scope of supply

The assignment includes:

• the entire process control system based on PCS7 V9.0 for both rotary kilns (capacity: 220,000 t/a)
• delivery of switch cabinets
• assembly
• hardware and software engineering
• commissioning and optimization

Special Features

Special features of the order 'worth mentioning':

• use of the new PCS7 IO hardware series ET200SP HA
• virtualization of process control technology based on VMWARE ESXi and PCS7 V9.0
• the conversion takes place during six planned revision shutdowns, each lasting 4 weeks
